ROCKY MOUNT – The N. C. Division of Motor Vehicles has closed the license plate company in Wilson following the death of the company.
In North Carolina, NCDMV oversees LPAs, but the companies are managed by private companies or local governments.
The firm had been located at 4000 Ward Blvd., Suite D, at the Toisnot Village Shopping Center, in Wilson.
NCDMV is now seeking applicants for a new commissioned contractor to operate a license plate agency ( LPA ) in Wilson.
The team’s plan is to start applications to run a license plate agency after the expiration or end of a contract, or when the need arises for a new or additional agency in a particular county.
Completed programs must be returned to NCDMV no later than Apr. 14. The applications ( Form MVR-93I, Form MVR-93B, or Form MVR-93M ) can be found on the . Serious candidates may telephone 919-615-8521 with questions. All programs must now be submitted via internet to ApplicationLPA@ncdot.gov. No mail-in programs will get accepted.
LPAs give car registration services and name transactions, as well as car license plate renewals, alternative tags and recreate registrations. Now, 125 license plate agencies operate in North Carolina.
In the meantime, five local license plate companies provide support Monday through Friday except for condition holidays:

•Rocky Mount, 1850 Stone Rose Drive, from 9 a. m. 5 p. m.
•Goldsboro, 1801 E. Ash St., from 9 a. m. 5 p. m.
•Zebulon, 520 W. Gannon Ave., from 9 a. m. 5 p. m.
•Spring Hope, 123 S. Ash St., from 9a. m. 5 p. m.
People are reminded that some car services can be completed online, including estate tax payments and enrollment renewals. To get started, choose attend MyNCDMV. gov.

Posting US government plates in collections
U.S. government/diplomat plates come in many forms and can be quite interesting. However, the ones from the past 40 years are also illegal for U.S. civilians to possess. As such, posts like this will be removed. Posts depicting U.S. government/diplomat plates on vehicles, however, are allowed.

This website is for discussing license plates in one form or another.
Common repost
Some plates, especially those found in memes, are shared here constantly. We will remove any as we find them. Good rule of thumb: if you found the photo because it was re-shared online, it’s probably something we’ve already seen. This also applies to QQ plates and sovereign citizen plates.
